Presentation and aims:
Environmental, health, and food issues are currently a major concern worldwide. Protecting the environment, promoting the green economy, and accelerating reforms in the health sector are research goals that have been clearly articulated by the regulatory body. Indeed,
Algeria, which has a vast territory (the largest country in Africa and the tenth largest in the world) with diverse and varied biotopes, is affected by the deterioration of environmental quality, which sometimes has a dramatic impact on the biodiversity of fauna and flora. On the other hand, epidemiological analysis of various diseases (chronic or infectious) directly related to the state of the environment has shown an increase in recent years.
At the same time, several determining factors (mainly environmental factors) have influenced our dietary habits, leading to an increase in obesity, chronic diseases and nutritional deficiencies.
It is therefore clear that a healthy and balanced diet is necessary and should preferably incorporate new techniques and technologies to improve the health and well-being of citizens.
This observation makes it necessary for the international scientific community to participate in research topics that implement an approach to understand the impact of environmental quality on human health.
For all these reasons, we are organizing this first international hybrid seminar on applied research in food science, health, and environment (1st IS-ARFSHE 23) and invite researchers from different countries to participate in these multidisciplinary and intersectoral reflections around these three axes:
